The opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Logistic Support Representative to join Boeing Defence Australia's Training Flight Supply Support team. This is an opportunity to provide direct logistics support to maintenance teams managing the F/A-18 Aircraft. This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley and is an on-site requirement supporting face to face customer demands and inventory management responsibilities. This position will also be available to support shift work Monday to Friday and exercise deployments within Australian shores.
Eligibility
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and be able to meet Defence Security vetting and Boeing Global Trade Controls (Essential).
  • Must have or be able to acquire NV1 security clearance (Essential).

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor area stock levels, assist with forecast requisition reviews to meet customer needs.
  • Provide supply chain advice to aircraft maintenance teams in relation to existing and overdue purchase orders, internal demands and equipment investigations.
  • Take corrective actions with overdue products or services impacting aircraft maintenance schedules.
  • Work closely with team members to optimise stock replenishments holdings.
  • Assist with stocktakes, review shelf-life managed items, assist with hazardous waste storage and disposal.
  • Be available for shift work.
  • Be available to participate on exercises, in-country, for at least a 2-week period annually.
  • Be an active team member supporting all targeted objectives.

Experience/Qualifications
  • Competent forklift operator (Essential).
  • Valid C Class vehicle license (Essential).
  • Understanding of Shelf-Life management, quarantine control and hazardous product management (Essential).
  • Demonstrated communication skills for effective engagement with stakeholders (Essential).
  • Minimum 5 years Defence Industry Experience (Highly Desirable)
  • Understanding of Defence Logistics policies and procedures (Highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in Defence information management systems such as CAMM2, NETMAARS, SAP and LNIDS (Highly desirable).
