Leading technical training of the Large scale Mammalian asset in Visp, and development of the technical trainers. Coordinates the operational activities with regards to trainings and training concepts.

Responsible for compliant EHS, GxP, and technical training of personnel, including management of training matrices with role specific curricula for platform / function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Execute Lonza training strategy, define, own, and drive training performance KPIs.
  • Strategic and operational management of new training programs and concepts and optimization of existing trainings in the asset.
  • Coordination of technical trainers, up to 10 indirect reports.
  • Key contact for training in audits, internal / external networks, projects, BSc/MSc Interns.
  • Responsible for training matrices, learning management system and knowledge management.
  • Manage training capacity by analyzing training demand / gaps, identify and coach trainers.
  • Active involvement in investigations, and CAPAs, as human performance ambassador.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required.
  • Extensive experience within Manufacturing in a GMP environment; experience in any other manufacturing-related fields is a plus.
  • Strong leadership behavior with level-appropriate communication.
  • Solution-oriented way of working
  • Good planning and cross functional skills
  • High level of safety and quality awareness.
  • Is able to lead, coach and develop employees in trainings at any time;
  • Structured and focused way of working with assertiveness. Self-reliant, motivated, flexible and resilient.
  • Agile and pro-active relationship management in a multi-matrix organization.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, German is a plus
