Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established local business that designs, manufactures and tests industrial turbochargers supplied into the power generation, marine and rail traction industries.

Part of the Wabtec Corporation; Napier Turbochargers is part of a worldwide organisation that provides excellent career opportunities both within the UK and abroad.

The vacancy will require a flexible approach covering CNC Machining skills or development of skills across the following Production areas:

- Turning

- Milling

- Grinding

Qualifications:

- NVQ Level 2 in an engineering discipline

- It is a requirement that the successful candidate will attain NVQ Level 3. Modules to be provided by Napier

Experience:

- At least 3 years relevant industry experience

Skills:

- Be self-motivated and have good communication skills, both verbal and written

- Understand the need to work as part of a team and be committed to the targets and measures of that team

- Show good timekeeping and be flexible in working shift patterns

- Demonstrate the ability to read engineering drawings and use a variety of calibrated measuring equipment

- Have a good awareness of the importance of a safe working environment and duties to oneself and others within the company's EHS policy
