Key responsibilities:

    As a Trainee ERP Specialist at Lonza AG, you will be at the forefront of optimizing our ERP systems. You will:

    • Build and maintain part codes in SAP (Material Master) to ensure seamless operations.
    • Coordinate the extension of parts across various plants to support our global reach.
    • Develop and modify Bill of Materials (BOMs), Recipes, and resources in SAP to ensure flawless production processes.
    • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to new part set-up, BOM, and recipe creations are current and usable.
    • Manage the deactivation/reactivation and discontinuation of parts in the ERP system to maintain an up-to-date system.
    • Work on improving processes related to new part set-up to achieve Operational Excellence.
    • Partner with the finance team to ensure BOMs are accurately entered into the financial system (SAP).
    • Offer direct assistance to SAP users, emphasizing the importance of maintaining accurate and consistent material master data as well as key critical metrics.
    • Monitor approval workflows to ensure materials move through designated approval streams, meeting GMP requirements strictly.
    • Proactively identify and implement workflow process improvements to reduce lead times and improve operational efficiency.
    • Use our ERP system to drive standardization in the BOM and recipe process, collaborating with your supervisor to ensure this standardization is achieved.
    • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the ERP system, championing standard methodologies and processes for crafting new materials.
    • Act as the main subject matter expert for training collaborators and staff on standard and effective methods, encouraging a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.

    Key requirements:

    We are looking for an ambitious individual with:

    • A degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management or Business Management, demonstrating a strong foundation in the field.
    • APICS certification or similar, which is preferred and signifies a dedication to excellence.
    • Advanced experience in Supply Chain and Operations, proving your ability to handle complex tasks.
    • Expertise in SAP Skills modules MM and PP, enabling you to navigate and optimize our systems effectively.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define metrics and perform root cause analysis to solve issues.
    • The ability to apply Business Intelligence systems to extract data and generate insightful reports.
    • Proficiency in English, ensuring clear and effective communication in our diverse work environment.
