This position is based in London. Some travels to other locations including outside of EMEA may be necessary from time to time.
Responsibilities
The Trading Systems Support Analyst will manage the widely-deployed OMS and market data delivery systems involving every major electronic exchange and asset class.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with traders to understand their needs
- Solving problems by providing level one and level two support for our production systems
- Contributing to the design and implementation of the support system to enhance reliability and self-correction
- Enhancing our existing Python framework, driving its growth and contributing to the codebase
- Harnessing AI-powered solutions to significantly reduce time-to-market for system changes
- Contributing to the monitoring stack and reporting on the status and health of our systems
- Serving as the primary technical contact for brokers and exchanges
- Providing periodic after-hours coverage
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the finance industry along with:
- 3-5 years working in a high pressure environment, including diagnosing and resolving production issues on the fly
- Good understanding of electronic trading and/or financial instruments including equities, futures, and options
- The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating true ownership
- Strong Unix skills along with programming skills in Python and experience in Scheduling tools like Airflow
- Experience working with Grafana
- Good understanding of networking and system concepts
- The willingness to take on tasks both big and small
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
- A passion for learning and innovative problem-solving
- Experience with SQL and the use of databases is a plus
