Job Purpose and Impact• The Technical Lead - Corporate Risk Reporting role serves as the single technical owner for the Corporate Risk Reporting (CRR) platform, providing end-to-end technical leadership across all development streams. The role is accountable for shaping and delivering a database-centric risk reporting solution, with a strong hands-on focus on SQL development to implement core risk logic that underpins P&L, exposure, pricing, and end-of-day risk reporting for internal risk management users.• This role oversees the full solution stack, including SQL-based data modeling and logic, data ingestion, transformation and enrichment from multiple upstream sources, as well as supporting application components such as backend services, frontend reporting interfaces, and risks reporting and analytics capabilities. While remaining hands-on in critical SQL development, the role provides architectural and technical direction across the broader development team to ensure consistency, scalability, and operational robustness of the CRR platform.• The position plays a central leadership role in partnering with data, integration, and SAP teams, challenging design assumptions where necessary and driving decisions that best serve the long-term integrity, performance, and evolution of the CRR platform.
Key Accountabilities
  • Technical delivery leadership:
Provides technical leadership for the end-to-end delivery of the Corporate Risk Reporting solution, ensuring SQL implementations across base, semantic, and reporting layers meet enterprise standards for correctness, performance, and maintainability.
  • SQL engineering practices:
Establishes and drives best practices for SQL development, including query optimization, execution plan analysis, data quality validation, and performance tuning, ensuring consistent and scalable engineering outcomes.
  • Risk logic ownership:
Leads the design and implementation of SQL logic supporting P&L, exposure, pricing, and operational risk calculations, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk canonicals and business definitions.
  • Architectural stewardship:
Provides architectural leadership to guide data modeling and query design decisions, balancing normalization, performance, scalability, and governance without prescribing fixed implementation patterns.
  • Distributed platform effectiveness:
Ensures SQL solutions are designed to operate effectively across distributed database environments, supporting horizontal scale and stable performance during peak EOD processing cycles.
  • Code governance and quality:
Defines and enforces SQL code quality standards through structured review processes, version control, and CI/CD integration, ensuring controlled change management and auditability.
  • Cross-functional collaboration:
Partners with Data Modelers, Data Engineers, Risk SMEs, and platform teams to ensure technical alignment, clear data lineage, and consistent interpretation of risk measures across the enterprise.
  • Operational excellence:
Supports operational readiness and resilience of the risk reporting platform, contributing to issue diagnosis, performance analysis, and continuous improvement during business-critical processing windows.
  • Communication and influence:
Communicates technical direction, trade-offs, and risks clearly to stakeholders and leadership, influencing decisions through expertise rather than formal authority.

Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement of 8 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 8-12 years of experience delivering SQL-intensive data solutions at enterprise scale.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and optimizing relational data models and SQL logic for complex financial, trading, or risk domains, with a strong track record of technical leadership and engineering governance.
