What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and build the new Trading and Risk Management team, focusing on managed risk solutions for the betting industry.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational risk strategies to safeguard exposure and manage liabilities for betting operations.
  • Oversee daily trading activities and make real-time decisions/adjustments based on market movements and betting activities.
  • Drive team performance through hands-on coaching and mentoring, ensuring operational consistency and high performance.
  • Design and deliver key risk reporting (dashboards and reports) to leadership, translating complex trading data into strategic insights.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in the sports betting or iGaming sector, managing teams within Trading, Risk, or Operations.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead an operational team in a high-stakes, fast-paced setting.
  • Deep industry expertise in sports betting, including bet types, sportsbook mechanics, and managing liabilities and exposure.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for effective collaboration across internal business units.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in advanced trading platforms, risk management systems (e.g., odds compilation tools), and data analytics tools for real-time monitoring.
  • Based in Europe.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Experience in building a trading or risk team from the ground up.
  • Strong project and program management capabilities to drive cross-functional risk initiatives.
  • Knowledge of specific regulatory environments and compliance requirements within the global betting market.
  • Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tools or risk management platforms.
