JOB TITLE: Trading Controls Manager
LOCATION: London and Edinburgh
HOURS: Fulltime - 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites in Edinburgh or London.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Owning and Enhancing the Trading Controls Operational Risk Management Framework for the financial markets facing businesses within Lloyds Banking Group, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Leading Risk Identification and Assessment across Trading Products process workflows, settlements processes, and internal and external trading platforms, embedding robust controls and reporting.
Advising on Risk Implications of New Products and Initiatives, partnering with front office trading and sales teams, Markets Operations, Compliance, and Markets Platform (Technology) Teams.
Driving Continuous Improvement in control design, automation, and operational resilience, utilising data analytics and emerging technologies.
Monitoring and Challenging Risk Trigger Reporting, raising material issues to Risk and Control Owners and providing actionable insights to senior management and governance forums.
Championing a Strong Risk Culture within the CIB CCO and LBCM, helping to deliver training and awareness programmes to embed accountability and best practice.
Collaborating Globally utilising specific experience in UK / US / EU regulatory requirements, to ensure alignment of risk frameworks across jurisdictions
KEY DELIVERABLES
Comprehensive Risk Assessments and Risk Reporting System Outputs for Markets activities, with documented mitigation strategies and control enhancements.
Timely Delivery of Remediation /Action Plans
for identified control gaps, supported by root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
Data-driven Risk Reporting and Dashboards for senior partners and colleagues, including trend analysis and emerging risk insights.
Identification and Implementation of Automated and Preventative Controls, reducing manual intervention and operational incidents.
Governance Material Collation and Articulation of risk positions, control effectiveness, and regulatory compliance status.
Stress testing and Scenario Analysis to validate resilience under adverse market conditions.
Evidence of Embedding Risk Culture, through training completion metrics and feedback loops.
