Tokio Marine Kiln
TMK Actuarial & Analytics Internship Programme
The TMK Actuarial & Analytics Internship Programme is now open for applications!
We have six internship opportunities within our Actuarial & Analytics team. The internship will be for 4 weeks during July or August 2025 and offers an introduction to specialty insurance and how the Actuarial & Analytics (A&A) department uses data, actuarial & analytics techniques, and technology to inform decisions. Throughout the internship, you will collaborate with team members, gaining practical experience. Strong performance during the internship can lead to a spot on either our Actuarial Graduate Programme or our Analytics Graduate Programme in the Autumn of 2026.
Successful applications will get the chance to:
-
Dive into specialty insurance: Explore Tokio Marine Kiln’s product offerings – including cyber, aviation and life sciences products – and discover how the solutions we offer address complex client needs.
-
Understand what the A&A team does: Learn about the distinct roles the analytics, capital, exposure management, pricing, and reserving teams play, and see how they develop analyses and tools that inform decisions.
-
Deliver a value adding project: Collaborate with A&A team members to create or refine an actuarial or data analytics model, analysis, or process.
-
Expand your professional network: Connect with professionals across the company and gain broader industry perspectives.
What we look for:
-
You can demonstrate your interest in building or exploring a career within the data analytics field.
-
You are in your penultimate year of a university course in a numerical or STEM-related field. Alternatively, you can demonstrate your technical aptitude through other means, such as relevant work experience or blog writing.
-
You will have had some exposure to a programming language (e.g. R or Python) through your studies or personal learning efforts.
Applications will close on Friday 11th April 2025 at 11.59pm. Please note that any candidates who apply and successfully make it through to the assessment day will need to be available to attend our London office on either Friday 9th May or Friday 16th May 2025.
