BBH Investor Services (Inserv) specializes in global asset servicing and operating model solutions, supporting a broad array of asset classes and investment strategies for the world’s leading asset managers and financial institutions.

As our Thought Leadership Content Manager, you will have responsibility for helping drive Inserv's global thought leadership strategy (TL) and execution. This includes partnering with the Global Head of Thought Leadership to plan and execute the overall TL strategy, working with each business area to generate content ideas, and write and edit TL pieces, such as articles, blog posts, videos, and podcasts.

This role works closely with global Marketing Managers on the strategy, insights, and campaign design. You will also work closely with InServ business leaders including primary spokespeople, Product Leads, Relationship Managers, and subject matter experts across the global business to understand the intersection of market demand and BBH expertise to generate differentiating insights. You will help manage and contribute to a prioritized editorial calendar of integrated thought leadership campaigns (written, video, social, etc) to produce and distribute to the target market(s) across channels. This role is supported by the Firmwide Marketing team on the Ssocial strategy, PR, Creative, Compliance, and operational distribution functions.

To be successful in this position, you must think like a publisher/journalist. The role necessitates exceptional writing skills with a strong understanding of the financial services industry. This person should also have the ability to simplify complex financial ideas into compelling thought leadership and help drive the development of a superior and differentiated thought leadership program.

Duties Include:

Thought Leadership Creation

  • Write, edit and produce content and insights tailored for specific audiences that effectively differentiates BBH across our key sales campaigns. 
  • Work with Marketing Managers to design content programs and determine the best format and distribution method for each to ensure it captures mindshare of target market (print, video, social, media, etc).
  • Support the development a robust and flexible content calendar that aligns with key sales campaigns across the enterprise verticals.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand and optimized for search and user experience across a variety of multimedia and print channels.
  • Ensure consistent global experience and implement appropriate localization/translation strategies.

Strategy Development

  • Support a global thought leadership strategy for the Investor Services business. Strategy should be inclusive of content ideas, creation, execution, distribution. Determine which methods work best for the brand and why.
  • Maintain and enhance standards, systems, and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, compliance, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval, and content repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies.
  • Leverage market data to develop content themes/topics and a plan to develop the assets that supports a point of view and engages clients and other stakeholders.
  • Advance new ways to engage with industry constituents, whether that is through new content mediums, distribution strategies, or events.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to keep abreast of the editorial developments and output of our peers.

Video Production Oversight

  • Working with outside vendors and BBH Creative teams, help script, and produce video content in accordance with TL strategy for major campaigns.
  • Curate PR related and other video assets which relate to TL campaigns and integrate into TL distribution plan

People Management and Administration (10%)

  • Work directly with junior team members on content development initiatives
  • Organize projects with freelancers, including setting the assignment, overseeing

Requirements:

  • BA or Equivalent
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • 6+ years of writing and content development experience in the financial industry (knowledge of asset servicing specifically is a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Exceptional writer, editor, communicator with experience in managing multi-faceted media and video projects
  • Experience and ideas about integrated thought leadership, creating compelling messages for different target market segments
  • Must be able to manage multiple complex deliverables with little oversight
