Role Description

Exciting opportunity to join growing team & division within FNZ providing real-time execution broking and platform services to new and existing customers.

The team are responsible for the stability and maintenance of FNZ’s Proprietary OMS (X-Change) which is an industry established order and execution management system

Testing & trading support is a key role within this team and successful candidates would learn and provide support in the following areas:

  • Support of a multi-asset order and execution management system (OEMS)

  • Troubleshooting system/trading errors

  • System maintenance, upgrades, functionality & performance testing

  • Automated Testing Framework

  • Maintaining CI/CD pipeline for Azure

  • Maintaining infrastructure and availability

  • Collaborating with development teams to improve processes.

  • Support of Low latency connectivity, direct market access and high availability trading.

              

Organisational Design

Reporting into a dedicated & focused division within FNZ’s markets team providing agency trading for FNZ’s internal, external and prospect customers.   

The candidate would sit withing the architecture division of the X-Change team who sit within the wider Markets division at FNZ. 

The X-change team are an experienced & harmonious team of 18, many of whom have worked together in previous organisations supporting the software in previous iterations.

Team Responsibilities

Ensuring the quality of the underlying infrastructure, pipeline and stability of the X-Change order management system and peripheral services

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI

  • Implement containerization using Docker for packaging applications

  • Manage and scale cloud infrastructure on Azure

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues

  • Collaborate with development teams to improve development workflows and increase deployment efficiency

  • System and maintenance checks

  • Troubleshooting trading, price & risk issues

  • Supporting batch files and system scripts

  • Liaising with testing and product for new releases

  • Documenting system processes and incidents

  • Ensuring system KPI’s and SLA’s are met

  • Providing management information for senior management

  • Investigating new technologies and deployment models

Experience required

Keen technologist with enthusiastic and inquisitive nature.  Financial experience beneficial but not essential.  This role would suit a junior or graduate with a good work ethic looking to gain experience in trading and technology.

What you’ll learn

  • DevOps; Working with cloud services, particularly Azure

  • Experience with rundeck, chef, terraform, artifactory, powershell

  • Experience working with trading order and execution management systems.

  • Experience working with low latency applications

  • Functional and performance testing

  • Experience with FIX Protocol
