LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South.

Moving to a new country shouldn’t mean starting from zero. That's why our team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries is building a financial ecosystem that helps immigrants stay connected to home, build stability, and create wealth regardless of where they are from or where they live.

What began as fast, affordable remittances is now evolving into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth.

With millions of users across the globe, we process over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, proving that borders shouldn't limit financial opportunity.

The Role:

As a Compliance Testing Analyst at LemFi, you will be responsible for the execution of our global compliance testing program. You aren't just checking boxes; you are performing deep-dive reviews into our AML, Sanctions, and Consumer Compliance and regulatory controls to ensure they are robust enough to protect our customers and our platform. You will work closely with the Testing Manager to transform raw data into actionable insights that strengthen our global compliance posture.

How You'll Contribute:
  • Execution of Testing Cycles: Conduct methodical testing of AML/CFT, Sanctions, and Consumer Compliance and regulatory controls across all LemFi jurisdictions (US, UK, Canada, and Europe).

  • Transaction Sampling: Perform forensic-level reviews of automated outcomes, customer files, transaction alerts, and SAR filings to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Issue Identification: Identify control deficiencies and "broken" processes, documenting clear and concise findings for the Compliance Testing Manager.

  • Remediation Design: Partner with the Compliance Testing Manager to suggest practical, scalable solutions for identified gaps. You will track these actions through to completion to ensure the "fix" actually works.

  • Data Analysis: Use Excel/Google Sheets and internal systems to pull data sets, identify trends, and select representative samples for testing.

  • Audit Support: Assist the Compliance Testing Manager in gathering evidence and documentation for external regulators and independent auditors.

  • Quality Assurance (QA) Liaison: Work alongside the QA team to ensure that day-to-day operational checks align with the broader compliance testing framework.

  • Reporting: Assist in drafting formal testing reports and presentation decks that summarise findings and track the progress of remediation efforts.

Who You Are:

You are a candidate who would thrive in a fintech startup environment like ours, where we readily accept individuals with a humble, yet uplifting attitude alongside a diligent sense of work ethic. The teams here at LemFi are passionate about their work and expertise, but also lend hands on cross-functional responsibilities to ensure the success of the company and the satisfaction of our clientele.

  • 1–3 years of experience in an AML compliance role, specifically within a testing, internal audit, or quality assurance capacity.

  • Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills;

  • Data and analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and the ability to perform data analysis;

  • Ability to thrive as part of a team and be an empowering, constructive and considerate colleague;

  • Knowledge of UK, US, EU and Canadian regulatory requirements;

  • Strong written skills with the ability to explain complex compliance gaps in simple, plain English.

The Interview Process:
  • TA Screen (30 mins)

  • Meeting the manager (30 mins)

  • Stakeholder Interview (30 mins)
