Department OverviewYou will join R&D in Uxbridge (London, UK). You will work closely with the Alta video solution products (cameras, appliances, video management system and mobile apps).
Job Description

This is a hybrid working role, split between working from home and our Uxbridge offices.

Alta video provides an enhanced and innovative cloud security system solution for small and large scale customers.

Your day to day work will require you to be hands on, helping test the Alta Video security solution end to end, testing of new features and improving test routines and processes. You will be working alongside the Alta test team and the rest of the software team and report findings and issues to the broader development team.

You will be able to use your creativity and push yourself to find new ways of making our products break - to make sure we find all the issues before our customers do.

Basic Requirements

Do you like being hands-on and would be enthusiastic working with HW/SW products that are state of the art in a global industry? Do you care for robustness and reliability of products? Do you have experience with testing and want to develop yourself as a tester alongside learning more about labs and hw? Then you may be the one we are looking for.

You're not expected to have all of the following skills, but they will be useful in performing your job. We are looking for someone who:

• Is a critical thinker, with an urge to learn new things and new technologies.
• Has good troubleshooting skills.
• Is creative.
• Is self-driven.
• Is proficient in English.
• Has a few years of experience with software testing.
• It is also considered a bonus if you are:
• Experienced with test automation and basic scripting in e.g. Python.
• Experience with api-based testing.
• Experience with mobile testing and mobile automation tools
