The role

Working in tandem with the QA, Product, Operations and Technology teams you will execute critical testing of new features and functions as well as play a part in pre-release regression testing. This is a demanding and fast-paced role playing a critical step in the platform development process.

You will write thorough and reusable test scripts, execute the scripts and record and document defects using the latest software development tools. You will communicate constantly with clients and team members, participate in daily stand-ups to ensure testing remains on track for a successful release. Significant scope for progression for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating test scripts using descriptions of features and functions developed in Jira and as demonstrated by Technology/Product team.
  • Regression testing of existing features ahead of key deployments.
  • Execution of test scripts.
  • Documentation of all bugs identified in standardised documentation for prioritisation with Product and Technology team colleagues.
  • Reporting test execution progress on an intra-day basis.
  • Assisting with the creation of weekly internal and client-facing release notes.
  • Assisting with the creation of user manuals for new features.

Requirements
  • Strong software or system testing experience.
  • Ability to interact with clients and internal partners effectively.
  • Experience of using test management tools such as Quality Center and ALM
  • Strong understanding of SQL.
  • Understanding of Financial Services and post trade – ideally asset servicing.
  • Experience with defect reporting and tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to understand where new products impact existing infrastructure and features.
  • Collaborative with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to author and execute test scripts with little guidance.
  • SWIFT messaging experience.
  • API testing experience.
