We are seeking a Temporary Technical Communications Specialist to join our Communications and Engagement team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in SharePoint and ServiceNow integration, paired with an understanding of communications and employee engagement strategies. The successful candidate will help us revamp our SharePoint pages, which will serve as long-term libraries, assist in building a ServiceNow Portal to function as our intranet, and ensure that these tools align with our overall communications goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • SharePoint Revamp: Lead the redesign and update of our SharePoint pages to improve usability, functionality, and alignment with our communications objectives.
  • ServiceNow Integration: Collaborate on the integration of ServiceNow with our existing systems, developing a user-friendly intranet-style portal that supports employee engagement and communication.
  • Tool and Technology Focus: Utilize technical expertise to enhance our communication platforms, ensuring that tools like SharePoint and ServiceNow are effectively leveraged to meet team goals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Communications and Engagement team to ensure that all technical solutions are aligned with broader team strategies and goals.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on using SharePoint and ServiceNow tools, ensuring smooth adoption and ongoing use.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SharePoint design and customization, experience with ServiceNow, and a strong understanding of integrating these tools.
  • Communications Background: Previous experience in a communications or engagement role, with the ability to translate technical solutions into impactful communication strategies.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions for technical challenges.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical team members.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with other enterprise communication tools.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of intranet best practices and employee engagement strategies.
