Role Summary and Impact
The Booking.com account are seeking a Tooling and Technology Director. This role is a critical leadership role within the Global Solutions team, responsible for driving the strategic vision, implementation, and optimization of all technology, tools, and analytics initiatives. This role serves as the central point of contact for all things tech-related, ensuring the team has access to the best-in-class resources and data-driven insights needed to deliver exceptional results for our global clients. The Director will be the primary liaison and project manager for integrating WPP Open and Choreograph (specifically Project Rubik, the campaign data stack) into the Global Solutions workflow. This position requires a deep understanding of marketing technology, data analytics, project management, and the ability to effectively communicate and train diverse teams on new tools and processes.

Technology Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with the Global Solutions team's strategic objectives and the broader WPP technology vision.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend new and emerging technologies to enhance the team's capabilities and drive innovation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in marketing technology, data analytics, and campaign management.
- Champion a data-driven culture within the Global Solutions team, promoting the use of analytics to inform decision-making.
WPP Open & Choreograph Integration (ie Project Rubik):
- Serve as the primary project manager for the integration of WPP Open and Choreograph (Project Rubik) into the Global Solutions team's workflow.
- Collaborate with WPP Open and Choreograph teams to ensure seamless data flow and optimal utilization of the platform's capabilities.
- Develop and implement training programs to educate the Global Solutions team on the features and benefits of WPP Open and Choreograph.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support to the team regarding WPP Open and Choreograph.
Tooling & Analytics Management:
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of all marketing technology tools used by the Global Solutions team.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all platforms.
- Develop and maintain documentation for all tools and processes.
- Work with the analytics team to develop and deliver insightful reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to the Global Solutions team and clients.
Training & Enablement:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for the Global Solutions team (including planning and local market teams) on all relevant tools and technologies.
- Create user-friendly documentation and resources to support ongoing learning and adoption.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to the team.
- Prepare and test the use of tools with all team members to ensure usability and effectiveness.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including planning, local market teams, technology, analytics, and client services.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Present technology solutions and insights to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
- Act as a liaison between the Global Solutions team and WPP technology teams.
Budget Management:
- Manage the budget for all technology and tooling initiatives.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors.
- Track and report on ROI for technology investments.
Knowlegde and Abilities:
- Equal parts project manager, process designer, change manager, and strategic thinker.
- Proven ability to translate strategic vision and priorities into operational reality.
- Strong track record of driving results and achieving expected outcomes.
- Exceptional planning skills with the ability to plot the course from start to finish, identify and mitigate risks, and seamlessly shift between strategic and tactical thinking.
- Adept collaborator comfortable fostering relationships and working across all levels, both internally and with clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and breaking down complex problems into simple solutions.
- Challenger of the status quo and a proactive change agent.
- Proficient at designing and implementing efficient and effective ways of working, leveraging technology and automation where possible to work smarter, not harder.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to tailor messages based on the audience.
