The Technology Department delivers differentiation, scalability and security for the business. Reporting to the Head of Technology Change, Technology provides digital tools, software services and infrastructure globally to all business groups. Software development and support teams work in agile ‘streams’ aligned to specific business areas. Our other teams work enterprise-wide to provide critical services including our global service desk, network and system infrastructure, IT operations, security, enterprise architecture and design.
The Change team manages the Technology delivery and integration of acquisitions, as well as delivery of business change initiatives that are in scope of the Marex Change process.
Role Summary
The Implementation Manager role drives successful implementation of Technology change projects. Working flexibly across multiple projects / initiatives, the role both coordinates and carries out area actions to deliver project implementation and business optimisation.
The role focuses on the co-ordination of Technology integration and rationalisation as created by the acquisition book of work within Marex.
Key to success in this role will be the ownership and accountability that comes with delivery of complex books of work. To be successful will require excellent relationships to be established with the Heads of each Technology Business stream and certainly out to key stakeholders within the business itself who are decision makers on change and rationalisation. There is likely to be engagement wider technology management, Infrastructure teams, Facilities and change management
The candidate will demonstrate a can-do attitude to realise the most beneficial outcome for Marex as an organisation. Bringing with them a broad range of experience from across financial services have experienced Front, Middle and Back office and the key structures and challenges that each area brings. The ability to deliver successfully a book of work that simplifies ways of working in Marex will be a key deliverable.
The role is fully aligned to the Acquisition Integration Framework (part of the Technology Portfolio Change Delivery) and will support the creation of artifacts that demonstrate this alignment. It will be expected to contribute to the incremental enhancement of the Framework to continually challenge and improve the way we deliver change within Technology.
Overall Responsibilities
- Work with Technology and Business to define and build strategic books of work that shape integration and rationalisation direction for the business.
- Support Business Technology to successfully build books of work that correctly align to deliverable functionality and the business requirements.
- Retain alignment to the core Technology Strategy and ensure the Marex Technology footprint is understood during change. Prioritise existing vendors and systems where appropriate.
- Support the Head of Technology Change and align to the Acquisition Integration Framework helping to refine and move it forwards where possible.
- Report on the priority/progress/effort/cost of these epics/projects.
- Overseeing projects to ensure they are run efficiently and delivered on time and on budget.
- Prioritise and drive the business requirements. Give regular status updates both within Technology and out to wider changes programmes as appropriate.
- Ensure delivered systems are of production quality and adequately documented for handover to the business and/or support functions.
- Be familiar with the regulatory, audit and compliance requirements that apply to the business. Ensure that technology employed adheres to these.
- Ensure delivered systems are secure, reliable and scale to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business.
- Encourage an inclusive culture – with an appreciation of complete life cycle and consult all areas that are impacted by change.

- Trade Lifecycle knowledge. Pre-trade, Trade, settlement/clearing, Risk. Full front to back.
- Experience of Trading Technologies, Pricing, Risk and algo trading.
- Agile and scrum development methodologies.
- Product development experience.
- Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
