We're looking for an Technology Engineer to join our National Highways Area 3 team based in Dummer. Location: Dummer Motorway Compound, Dummer Motorway Compound, Winchester Road, Dummer, Berkshire, RG23 7FX Hours: Permanent, Full time, 40 hours per week + Overtime, Standby and call out Salary: Competitive Salary + Car + Benefits We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. Join our talented team as a Technology Engineer and become a valued member of our highways technology installation team. You'll play a key role in installing and commissioning vital highways technology equipment across the National Highways Network, working on diverse projects that make a real difference to road safety and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise whilst working collaboratively with supportive colleagues who are committed to delivering innovative solutions. What will you be responsible for? As a Technology Engineer, you'll be working within the technology installation team, supporting them in delivering high-quality installation and commissioning of highways technology equipment. Your day-to-day will include: Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance on highways technology equipment including signs, signals, CCTV, and traffic monitoring systems Performing electronic diagnostic checks to identify and resolve faults in highways communications assets Supporting specific projects by interpreting requirements, applying appropriate methodologies, and developing effective solutions Liaising with third-party suppliers and stakeholders to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth project delivery Preparing technical reports, drawings, and specifications whilst ensuring all health and safety requirements are met What are we looking for? This role of Technology Engineer is great for you if: You have experience in highways technology or similar fields Knowledge and application of current technologies, standard and best practice relating to National Highways Motorway and trunk road communications systems Understanding of National Highways technology systems including display equipment, CCTV, digital storage devices and motorway communications Desire to work collaboratively to find the root cause of issues and deliver a proactive maintenance approach You hold a full UK driving licence, as site visits will be required across the network Rewards and benefits We're proud to be able to offer our brilliant people a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs.
