Position Overview:Finning is the world's largest Caterpillar dealer. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer experiences and innovative solutions. We are looking for a Technical Support Analyst to join our team on a fixed term contract for 9 months.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Technical Support Team Lead, the Technical Support Analyst will provide onsite tier 2 technical assistance for all aspects of Desktop Services. This role involves working with key users in branches and departments to solve complex support issues, coordinating hardware and software upgrades, and providing elevated support to the executive level within the region.

Responsibilities

  • Tier 2 Technical Support: Provide specialized support for PC hardware, printers, A/V technology, mobility devices, and desktop software, including clear documentation and communication.

  • Project Support: Provide technical expertise for desktop-related projects.

  • Upgrades and Enhancements: Implement and coordinate hardware and software upgrades.

  • Smart Hands Support: Assist with provisioning and supporting IT technologies in regional branches.

  • Asset Management: Manage regional branch IT assets and coordinate the asset refresh process.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant experience in IT support in a medium to large organization.

  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline and certification in Information Technology, MCSE and MCSA certifications are an asset.

  • Proficiency in PC hardware, Windows operating systems, mobile technology, MS products, encryption technology, networks.

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time in a high-demand environment.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
