A Hybrid working model

Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50% of the time for most people. Department Summary

The Hogarth Technology Team is responsible for a wide range of hardware and software solutions. Spanning Private and Public Cloud Infrastructure, across self-managed, high-speed networks to transfer large amounts of production content. The Technology services provided need to be ‘always-on’ and deliver continuous transformation of our global estate. Our highly skilled team of engineers, administrators, analysts, developers, and project managers are responsible for a wide array of bespoke and industry standard tools. Providing our clients with the most efficient and innovative technologies in our sector.

What does a Technical Solutions Architect do at Hogarth?

As a Technical Solutions Architect, you will be a key contributor in enhancing our core business systems through API and integration services. You will leverage your strong business analysis skills to understand business needs and translate them into robust technical solutions. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing integrations that drive business efficiencies and deliver production automation at scale. This role is critical in optimising our client and employee experience channels through WPP Open, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation, across various systems. The ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment within a rapidly growing company is essential for success in this role.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders

This role reports to the Senior Technical Solutions Architect

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Integration Design and Development: Design and implement robust integration architectures using Azure, AWS, GCP or similar,  and other 3rd party tools, ensuring they meet business requirements and align with company goals.
  • Platform Orchestration: Contribute to the orchestration of various integration flows, ensuring efficient and seamless data exchange between systems.
  • Client Experience Platform Support: Support enhancements of the main client experience products delivered through WPP Open, focusing on its integration with the bespoke integration platform to improve the end-to-end flow. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including creative, production, finance, and IT, to understand their integration needs and contribute to strategic solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in the evaluation and improvement of integration strategies and tools to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Experience in platform integration, architecture, and orchestration.
  • Expertise in Azure: Proficiency in using Azure for integration solutions, specifically Azure Integration Services.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Solid understanding of API development, middleware, ETL tools, and integration patterns.
    • Experience with AWS  and/or GCP is a plus.
    • Familiarity with production workflows is advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and understand their expectations.
  • Client-Centric Approach: An understanding of client needs and the ability to translate them into technical solutions.
  • Project Management: Experience working within a structured project management framework.
  • Masterful Technical Communication: Proven ability to create and deliver clear, concise, and audience-specific architectural documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This includes:
    • Visually compelling architecture diagrams that effectively communicate system design and data flow.
    • Comprehensive data flow diagrams illustrating data movement and transformation within the solution.
    • Well-structured API documentation enabling seamless integration and adoption by developers.
    • Adherence to industry and WPP best practices and standards to ensure documentation quality and consistency.
