The Opportunity

An opportunity to join the new logo sales team as a Technical Sales Executive. Reporting to the CRO, you'll be part of a small team focused on new logo acquisition, with a specific focus on accounts where the buyer or key champion is technical: Data, Engineering, Product or Ecommerce tech leads evaluating how EDITED's API and MCP server plug into their existing stack.

You'll still run a full sales cycle end to end. This isn't a pre-sales or Sales Engineering role, it's still full-cycle, quota-carrying sales. The difference is who you're credible in front of on the first call.

What You'll Be Doing As A Technical Sales Executive

  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition of our solutions to both commercial and technical audiences

  • Run early technical conversations, walking a prospect's Data or Engineering lead through how our API and MCP server work, confidently

  • Negotiate and close complex sales deals, working closely with internal teams (legal, finance, P&E) to ensure smooth contract execution

  • Develop and deliver outbound activity to target accounts that results in engagement, including technical personas who don't respond to a standard commercial pitch

  • Accurately forecast sales pipeline and revenue on a regular basis

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and how AI/API/MCP capabilities are actually being evaluated by technical buyers

  • Conduct in-depth discovery calls and needs assessments to understand clients' business challenges and objectives

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and technical decision-makers within target accounts

  • Continually learn and develop with respect to EDITED's solution, technology, sales techniques and industry news and trends

  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout

What We're Looking For In A Technical Sales Executive

Essential:

  • Proven track record of success in enterprise sales

  • Experience selling complex software, API, data or AI/ML products to large organisations

  • Comfortable in technical conversations about integrations, APIs, data pipelines or agentic AI tooling. You don't need to write code, but you need to not get out of your depth

  • The ability and willingness to learn, develop and immerse yourself in the solution

  • Deep understanding of the SaaS market and the unique challenges and opportunities it presents

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, across commercial and technical audiences

  • Highly motivated and results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency

  • Willingness to travel within the EMEA region as needed

  • Has the ability to accurately gauge, understand and report on where the prospect is within the sales process

Desirable:

  • Experience working in the Retail industry

  • Background in Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting or a technical role before moving into sales
