Job Description

We’re looking for a Technical Project Director to join us and do things differently.

We are seeking a director level specialist to lead on implementations of highly technical products across our Servicing department. This role can be based either in London, Budapest, or Tallinn. You'll be a key leader in orchestrating our most critical programs covering onboarding (KYC), financial crime risk, and other regulatory obligations - from concept to launch, ensuring we can deliver on our mission at scale. This role is a chance to have a massive impact by leading strategic initiatives that enable us to build a faster, cheaper, and more transparent financial system for everyone.

Your mission

As a strategic leader you will set the charter for a portfolio of programs. You are responsible for both the high-level planning and the tactical execution of complex, high-risk initiatives that touch multiple areas of the business.

You are the ultimate owner of program delivery, ensuring that projects are consistent, predictable, and successful. This means you lead all aspects of project planning, from scheduling to resource coordination, to meet objectives and timelines.

You are a master of cross-functional collaboration, acting as the vital link between departments like engineering, product, compliance, and operations. You ensure everyone is aligned on priorities and kept fully informed on the progress and impact of the programs.

You are the key communicator, responsible for monitoring and reporting on program performance, compliance, and risks to senior leadership. You ensure that all stakeholders are well-informed through clear, frequent communication.

You are a proactive risk manager, identifying potential issues and dependencies before they become problems. You implement controls and work with your teams to resolve challenges as they arise.

You are a champion of process improvement, constantly looking for ways to make things better through automation, technology, industry relationships and the development of new project management methodologies and tools.

You are a dedicated leader, managing and mentoring a team of program and project managers, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. As one of the first people pioneering this function, you are a role model for other team members.

About you

  • You have 10+ years of experience in program or technical project management, with a proven history of successfully delivering complex, large-scale projects. Experience in leading a platform consolidation or similar major technology program would be highly valued.

  • You possess analytical, communication, and influencing skills, and you're excellent at managing competing priorities. You are proficient in various project management methodologies. You are proficient in presentation, documentation and spreadsheet software.

  • You have built, led, and performance-managed teams. You possess the ability to transform a group of individuals into a cohesive unit that can consistently deliver high-impact programs.

You may also have

  • A deep understanding of financial crime technology, payments, and financial systems.

  • A working knowledge of laws, regulations, and risk management practices for financial services.

  • Experience working in combinations of KYC, AML, Sanctions, or related topics.

  • A background working in large-scale user-facing products, or high volume business products.

  • A bachelor's or a post-graduate degree in Business, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field.
