We connect airlines with travel sellers through innovative aggregation platforms, making travel more accessible and efficient worldwide. Thanks to our growing success, we are expanding and looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Product Manager to join our team in Bristol. 

Overview

As the Technical Product Manager, you will help drive the strategy for Paxport’s airline distribution solutions, including that of our core aggregation platform, flight caching technology and agent facing tools. 

Your mission is to balance data accuracy with system performance, ensuring Paxport's product offering is functionally exceptional, delivering the exact features necessary to support and enable significant growth. 

You will be the vital link between business strategy and engineering execution. By understanding complex customer requirements and industry needs, you will drive our product vision. This involves translating the product strategy into clear, technical requirements that enable our developers to build and deliver maximum value for the business. 

Tasks and Responsibilities 

Product Roadmap & Strategy: Define and execute the technical product vision for an assigned portfolio of solutions. You will prioritise features based on ROI, technical feasibility and the evolving landscape of travel tech. 

Technical Architecture Collaboration: Partner with backend developers at your disposal to understand technical implications of changes outlined by your requirements. 

Backlog Management: Own product backlogs, writing detailed User Stories, ensuring the development team has a clear "Definition of Ready." 

Go-to-Market Strategy: Manage the successful launch of new products, features, content, and adoption initiatives by ensuring full organisational alignment and readiness across Paxport. This includes developing and overseeing the go-to-market plan in collaboration with the Marketing team. 

Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between commercial teams (sales, account management and marketing) and the Development team. 

Drive Revenue Opportunities: Collaborate directly with the commercial team to identify new revenue opportunities and provide technical/strategic support to close deals. 

Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics to monitor an assigned portfolio of solutions in terms of performance to identify areas for optimisation. 

Required Skills and Knowledge 

● Experience - Minimum 2 years as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a high-scale SaaS environment. 

● Domain Knowledge - Experience of the Travel Technology Industry, particularly centred around Airlines, Online Travel Agencies/Tour Operators and Distribution. 

● Technical Depth - Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, system architecture and cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform). 

Stakeholder engagements - Confident in communicating with different types of stakeholder (internal & external) to help obtain requirements and understand their needs. 

● Agile Methodology - Expert-level knowledge of Scrum/Kanban methodologies and Jira. 

● Analytical Tools - Proficiency in SQL and data visualisation tools to analyse discrepancy reports between cached data and final booking outcomes.
