Technical Operations Manager

DevSecOps and IT Operations

Curve is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to lead our DevSecOps and technical operations function. This is a hands-on leadership role, owning cloud infrastructure, security operations, access control, and mobile device management, while partnering closely with Engineering, Product, and the wider business. You will help Curve scale safely and efficiently, bringing a practical, people-first approach to security and operational excellence.

About Curve

Curve is revolutionising the music industry with a powerful royalty platform designed for labels, publishers, and distributors. Our system processes complex artist contracts and streaming data, ensuring precise royalty calculations and empowering artists with real-time analytics and insights. Join our fast-growing team to make a meaningful impact in music technology.

The Role

You will be responsible for the provisioning, reliability, security, and compliant operation of Curve’s infrastructure and operational tooling. You’ll work closely with engineering leads to identify and deliver opportunities in scale, innovation, AI, and data, while keeping security and regulatory requirements embedded in how we build and operate.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud and Infrastructure Ownership

  • Provision, maintain, and continuously improve Curve’s infrastructure across GCP, AWS, MongoDB, Cloudflare and supporting tooling
  • Partner with engineering leads to design and deliver improvements in scalability, availability, cost efficiency, and developer productivity
  • Drive operational best practices across environments, releases, and incident response, ensuring clear runbooks and effective on-call support where applicable
  • Support data and AI initiatives through secure, scalable infrastructure patterns and governance

Security, Access Control, and Compliance

  • Own identity and access management (IAM), access controls, and security posture across core systems and vendor tools
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce security policies, standards, and controls in a pragmatic, collaborative way
  • Lead compliance programmes and audit readiness, supporting certification and ongoing compliance processes
  • Work cross-functionally to meet regulatory and contractual requirements, translating controls into practical engineering and operational workflows
  • Partner with Engineering on code security, including secure SDLC practices, vulnerability management, dependency scanning, and remediation workflows

Device and Endpoint Operations

  • Own mobile device supply, provisioning, lifecycle management, and operational support
  • Administer and improve MDM, including device enrolment, policy management, compliance reporting, and troubleshooting
  • Establish endpoint security standards and ensure adoption across the company

Training and Culture

  • Own the security training strategy and delivery plan, ensuring training is relevant, engaging, and measurable
  • Take a friendly, hands-on approach to educating and reinforcing security and delivery best practices
  • Build strong relationships across Engineering, Product, and business departments, helping teams make good security decisions without slowing down delivery

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a DevSecOps, SRE, Cloud Operations, or Technical Operations environment
  • Strong experience with cloud architecture and operations, including one or more of GCP and AWS, plus associated security controls
  • Experience operating internet-facing systems and security tooling (eg WAF/CDN such as Cloudflare), with a solid understanding of common threat models
  • Demonstrated experience with access control, identity management, and security governance across engineering and business systems
  • Solid grounding in code security and secure SDLC practices (scanning, review, remediation workflows, CI/CD security)
  • Experience administering MDM and managing device provisioning and policy enforcement
  • Comfortable coordinating across departments to deliver compliance, regulatory requirements, and audit readiness
  • Experience with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 frameworks, either through delivery experience, strong working knowledge, or a clear desire to learn and lead improvements

About You

  • Leader mentality: you take ownership, set direction, and bring clarity in ambiguous situations
  • Infectious enthusiasm for teaching and learning, you raise the capability of those around you
  • Pragmatic and collaborative: you aim for meaningful risk reduction, not security theatre
  • Calm under pressure: you can lead during incidents and drive structured follow-up and improvement
  • Strong communicator: able to translate risk and technical trade-offs into clear decisions for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Culture-first: you thrive in a modern, engaged, respectful team and help reinforce those values in day-to-day work

Why Join Curve?

  • Modern, close-knit culture: engaged, respectful, and collaborative
  • High-impact role: shape how we scale securely as the product and team grow
  • Mission-driven work: improve transparency and trust in royalty management for the music industry

If you’re passionate about building secure, scalable systems and helping teams do their best work, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now to join Curve.
