Spectra Logic, a leader in data management and storage solutions, is seeking a  Technical Marketing Evangelist to develop original technical perspectives, shape industry narratives, and create authoritative content focused on enterprise data infrastructure.

This is a senior individual contributor role for a technically grounded professional who can independently interpret real-world data center architectures, identify meaningful industry shifts and operator pain points, and translate those insights into clear, credible narratives and problem solving.

You will operate at the intersection of technology, market dynamics, and customer reality—helping define how Spectra Logic communicates its perspective on enterprise data storage challenges, AI-era infrastructure, cyber resilience, exabyte-scale growth, and long-term data preservation.

Success in this role means your perspectives are reflected both in published content and in how Spectra Logic engages with customers and the broader industry.

What You Will Be Doing

Develop and Own the Technical Point of View
Identify trends and technologies and develop clear, defensible perspectives that shape Spectra Logic’s position on AI infrastructure, power and cost constraints, cyber resilience, and data growth. Independently originate themes and narratives that influence how the company communicates with the market.

Create High-Impact Technical Content
Author whitepapers, bylined articles, executive commentary, and technical blogs that deliver insight—not just explanation. Produce content that reflects original thinking, not just synthesis.

Translate Architecture into Narrative
Work with engineering, product, and field teams to convert real-world architectures and customer challenges into content that is authoritative, technically accurate and broadly understandable.

Drive Thought Leadership
Contribute to external visibility through articles, speaking engagements, and webinars that position Spectra Logic as a trusted authority and elevates our presence in the industry.

Enable Sales and Field Teams

Develop narratives and frameworks that help sales engineers and partners communicate architectural value and differentiation.
Translate thought leadership into practical customer conversations.

What you bring
• Ability to independently form and articulate a technical point of view
• Strong writing skills with an emphasis on insight-driven narrative
• Practical understanding of how infrastructure is deployed and evaluated
• Ability to translate complex systems into clear explanations
• Ability to connect technical narrative to customer conversations and sales motions
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and shaping cohesive narratives

Requirements

  • 10+ years in technical marketing, solutions architecture, sales engineering, or product marketing within enterprise IT
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data center infrastructure (storage, compute, networking, data lifecycle)
  • Experience working with product managers, engineers, IT professionals, sales engineering, and field sales team
  • Evidence of original thinking, technical depth, and clarity
  • Demonstrable body of work showing development of comparable technical content and thought leadership, with the ability to present and discuss prior work in detail

Nice to Have
• Experience in data storage, backup, archive, or hybrid/cloud infrastructure
• Familiarity with AI/ML, HPC, media workflows, or large-scale data environments
• Experience with external publications, webinars, or speaking engagements
• Track record of published or externally visible thought leadership preferred
• Ability to operate with minimal direction in defining content themes and narratives

Compensation:   160 - 180K While this salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, a candidate’s actual salary will be competitive based on a variety of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience within in the range
