Step into a role where your engineering expertise shapes the future of sustainable railway infrastructure. As Technical Manager Railway, you will lead innovation, drive technical excellence, and influence international rail projects that make cities quieter, safer, and more liveable.

What You Will Be Doing

As Technical Manager Railway, you serve as the technical backbone of the Rockdelta product line. You will drive innovation, ensure excellent technical support, and act as the key technical ambassador to internal and external stakeholders.

Technical Support & Expertise

  • Provide expert support in railway projects, including modelling, calculations, documentation, tender preparation, and technical reviews.
  • Serve as the key technical authority for vibration control in railway infrastructure and material applications.

Innovation & Development

  • Maintain and continuously develop our internal technical library through research, testing, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Lead and manage development projects that add value and push the performance of our solutions.
  • Explore opportunities for cross-application synergies within the broader ROCKWOOL Group.

Knowledge Translation & Market Support

  • Translate technical results into clear insights for customers, Sales teams, and Marketing.
  • Support customer presentations, seminars, and technical discussions by communicating complex topics clearly.

Collaboration & Representation

  • Build strong internal connections across departments, ensuring effective technical communication.
  • Maintain a strong external network including customers, engineering firms, universities, and industry partners.
  • Act as an ambassador for ROCKWOOL in all technical engagements and collaborations.

Your Future Team

You will join a highly dedicated and international team, reporting directly to the Business Manager – Railways. You will collaborate closely with our global Sales organisation and technical network across the ROCKWOOL Group.

This Is Who You Are

You are a technically strong, proactive, and market-oriented professional who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, innovation, and customer value.

Your Background

  • Engineering degree, ideally in acoustics, civil engineering, or mechanical engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar technical role.
  • Experience managing international projects and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Customer-focused and market-aware.
  • Strong command of German and English; Spanish is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, modelling, and documentation skills.
  • Experience in or familiarity with the railway sector is a plus.
  • Combination of working from home and the office in Roermond. Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 10%).
