Amach is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to be part of the development, and evolution of a strategic digital platform within a globally recognised aviation business. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a platform creation, initially taking a highly hands-on role through discovery, architecture definition, proof of concept development, and stakeholder engagement. As the platform matures, you will transition into a more strategic leadership position, shaping the product roadmap, expanding the engineering team, and driving innovation across the platform.
You will work closely with architecture, security, product, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient, and future-ready capabilities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical depth, commercial awareness, and leadership in a modern cloud-first environment.
Hybrid: 2 days on site
Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure-as-code principles with Terraform, working in close collaboration with the customer's engineering teams
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and GitHub-based workflows to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery for the customer's applications
- Lead infrastructure automation initiatives that reduce manual overhead and improve operational efficiency across the customer's systems
- Oversee cloud security, compliance and cost optimisation strategies in partnership with the customer's security and finance teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer to the customer's operations staff
- Drive monitoring, logging and observability improvements to enhance visibility into the customer's production environments
- Collaborate with the customer's stakeholders to plan capacity, scalability and disaster recovery initiatives
Required Experience:
- Extensive experience in Software & DevOps, infrastructure engineering or cloud operations roles
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform
- AWS certifcations are essential
- Proficiency with GitHub for version control and CI/CD pipeline management
- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining highly available, scalable cloud systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as an embedded member of the customer's technical organization
- Experience and awarness of the advantages of AI
Desirable skills:
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Background in aviation, aerospace or regulated industries
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code best practices and GitOps workflows
