About the role

The Technical Expert plays a pivotal role within our Maintenance Organisation, tasked with devising effective and efficient maintenance strategies for all process and utilities equipment, thereby ensuring optimal asset performance. With a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process, you will serve as the subject matter expert in this domain. You will lead discussions with stakeholders, equipment manufacturers, and suppliers, driving efficiencies and optimisation across a diverse range of GMP and non-GMP assets throughout the Wrexham site.

What you will be doing…

  • Organising, managing and building an excellent working relationship with service providers. Conduct supplier appraisals regularly.
  • Leading root cause analysis into equipment failures and identifying and implementing highly effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Devising, implementing, managing and improving the maintenance program/strategy and operating SOPs to deliver optimal equipment performance levels.
  • Utilising the latest thinking in reliability centered, predictive maintenance and condition monitoring tools to deliver outstanding asset performance.

What we’re looking for…

  • Willingness and ability to be hands-on when required
  • Time-Served (having successfully completed an apprenticeship) Mechanical/Electrical/Refrigeration qualification, with proven relevant experience as a Maintenance Technician within the Manufacturing Sector
  • Electrical knowledge and/or automation/controls experiences and skills would be advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated and ability to work to tight or changing deadlines.
  • Experience of SAP and in Operational Excellence at Green Belt level would be an advantage.
