In pursuit of this mission, we are looking for  to build systems for a more engaging, easier to use product. This role is focused on technical interactions that our users may have— i.e. questions about programming, data science, math, or related topics.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and document opportunities to improve Perplexity’s answers for technical questions
  • Develop, edit, and annotate exceptional quality data on tight timelines
  • Develop LLM applications and conduct statistical analysis to improve data quality

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python and comfortable with the basics of some other common programming languages
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment, inventiveness, and writing ability to create content that is truthful, helpful, and engaging
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical role
  • Experience with AI/LLM development or red teaming
  • Familiarity with LLM evaluation metrics and statistical analysis

The cash compensation range for this role is £65,000 - £75,000.

We also offer Perplexity Enterprise Pro, which counts leading companies like Nvidia, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Bridgewater, and Zoom as customers.

Our investor base includes IVP, NEA, Jeff Bezos, NVIDIA, Databricks, Bessemer Venture Partners, Elad Gil, Nat Friedman, Daniel Gross, Naval Ravikant, Tobi Lutke, and many other visionary individuals. In 2024, our employee base grew nearly 300%, and we're just getting started.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

 

Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity is part of the total compensation package.
