We’re hiring a Technical Accounting & Statutory Reporting Specialist to join our Group Finance team. Based in either our Edinburgh or London office, you’ll lead on statutory reporting, provide expert technical guidance, and play a key role in the delivery of high-quality Group financial statements.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant with a deep understanding of IFRS and experience navigating the complexities of group-level reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Lead the Group’s consolidated statutory reporting process
  • Own and manage the IFRS-compliant year-end and quarterly reporting timetable

  • Prepare technical papers on accounting policy and new regulations
  • Support the preparation and presentation of quarterly finance updates to the Audit Committee
  • Liaise with external auditors, addressing technical questions and presenting new treatments
  • Oversee purchase price allocation (PPA) projects and work with external advisors on disclosures
  • Provide training and guidance to finance colleagues across the Group
  • Continuously improve reporting templates, disclosures and internal processes

What we’re looking for:

This role is ideal for a technically strong, qualified accountant who enjoys working with complex standards, partnering with stakeholders, and leading critical reporting processes.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Full professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ICAS, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in IFRS-based statutory reporting
  • In-depth technical knowledge of key standards including IFRS 15, IFRS 2, IFRS 9, IAS 36
  • Experience drafting and reviewing statutory accounts for complex organisations
  • Strong report writing skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to advise both finance and non-finance teams
  • Previous audit or large corporate accounting background preferred
  • Experience managing external auditor relationships and contributing to clean audits
