About Zego 🚀

Insurance hasn't changed much in over a century. The way we live, work and travel has.

Good drivers are the entire point of Zego. Seven in 10 drivers on the road are consistently good, but until telematics came along there was no way to prove it, so nearly everyone paid a price based on averages. Zego is the company built to change that.

We're leading the AI evolution in insurance 🤖

We move fast, without the layers that usually slow things down. AI takes the routine work off every team, from Finance to Product to Marketing, so people ship real code and launch custom dashboards in minutes. Engineering commits are entirely AI-assisted, which shifts the focus from team size to the quality of your thinking, and our data warehouse connects directly to an AI assistant for instant answers. Backed by a modern tech stack (Claude Code, Snowflake, Figma and Zapier) and a commitment to adopting new tools in days rather than quarters, you get complete ownership to do the most impactful work of your career.

Do not take our word for it. Read what Zegons say about us on Glassdoor.

About the role

We're looking for a Technical Sourcer to join our Talent Acquisition team on a 6-month FTC, owning the top of the funnel for Engineering hiring. You'll be the first person candidates hear from at Zego, so making that count matters. This role is squarely focused on sourcing, and doing it well. Quality comes first here. We're not hiring at all costs, we're hiring the right people, at pace. You'll be hunting for Software Engineers, Senior Software Engineers, Engineering Managers, and the full-stack talent that keeps our tech moving. If you get genuinely excited about finding someone the rest of the market has missed, read on.

What you'll be doing

  • Proactively sourcing high-quality engineering candidates across multiple channels and whatever else gets results
  • Building and maintaining talent pipelines for Software Engineering and Data functions – with a particular focus on Software Engineers, Engineering Managers, and full-stack profiles
  • Being the first point of contact for candidates, running initial calls, capturing your findings clearly, and setting the tone for a great experience from the very first message
  • Partnering with the recruiting team and hiring managers to understand what good looks like for each role
  • Working smarter with AI – improving outreach, spotting patterns in pipeline data, and finding efficiencies wherever they exist
  • Tracking and reporting on sourcing metrics to keep the team sharp and informed

What you'll need to be successful

  • You know tech hiring. At least two years of sourcing experience, with a strong track record in Software Engineering and Data roles – Senior Software Engineers, Engineering Managers, full-stack profiles
  • You work at pace. You've recruited in a start-up or scale-up environment and you're comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • You know your tools. You're confident using LinkedIn Recruiter and Juicebox, and you actively look for better ways to use them
  • You're into AI. You're actively curious about how AI can enhance your work – keen to experiment, learn quickly, and apply tools that improve productivity or unlock new ways of thinking. Whether you're already hands-on or fast building confidence, you take ownership of staying ahead
  • You make a strong first impression. Candidates will meet Zego through you first. You write well, communicate clearly, and know how to spark a conversation
  • You deliver with consistency. You take pride in doing the detail well – thorough notes, clean handovers, and a process the team can rely on
  • You measure what matters. You're comfortable with sourcing metrics and use data to improve, not just report

Our toolkit

We believe the tools don't make the sourcer, but the right stack helps us move with velocity

  • Sourcing – LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox
  • ATS – Workable
  • Collaboration – Notion, Slack, Google Meet
  • Interview & notes – Granola
  • AI & automation – Claude, Gemini, Zapier

The Zego ways of working 🏡

Teams work better with time to collaborate and space to get things done. We call it Zego Hybrid: some of us are in our central London office weekly, others monthly or quarterly. It's about finding the balance between face time and focus that produces great work and a healthy life around it.

We also make a point of getting everyone in the same room. Teams come together every quarter, and once a year the whole company does so properly. It's a serious investment and consistently one of the best parts of the year.

Here is what the last one looked like.

Zego, leading the AI evolution in insurance.

Equal opportunities 🌈

We're an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability status.

Boasting one of the most recognized fintech ecosystems in Europe, attracting billions in investments each year, London's success has made it a go-to destination for startups looking to make their mark. Top U.K. companies like Hoptin, Moneybox and Marshmallow have already made the city their base — yet fintech is just the beginning.
