Role:                                    Tech Lead Manager

Location:                             We operate a hybrid schedule, meaning 2-3 days a week in the office based at Thorpe Park, Leeds. 

Salary:                                 DOE plus extensive benefits

Contract type:                    Permanent

Employment type:             Full time

Working hours:                  We work on a core hours principle. Our core hours are 09:30 - 16:00; you can work around these to suit you!

The successful candidate will lead the hands-on development of Pharmacy2U’s core internal systems across web and mobile platforms, delivering high-quality front-end solutions and interfaces for key projects. You will oversee and grow a team of developers, providing leadership and support through core line management responsibilities, including regular 1:1s and career development.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Drive best practices in software development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Oversee development of core systems across web and mobile platforms, including front-end interfaces and integrations.
  • Champion team culture and environment, ensuring decisions prioritise both team well-being and project success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, QA) to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Ensure alignment with technology stack, including .NET Core for microservices and backend systems, React, Next.js, and TypeScript for front-end interfaces, and integration with BigCommerce and StoryBlok CMS.
  • Promote continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and adoption of modern tools and practices.

Who are we looking for?

  • Extensive commercial experience of developing React, Next.JS, TypeScript, GraphQL and developing new components.
  • Have experience in a headless, eCommerce platform such as BigCommerce.
  • Experience either leading a small team or mentoring Junior Developers as a senior.
  • Experience working within an Agile environment.
  • Experience working in software development as a senior developer or team leader.
