Job Summary
We are seeking a Tech Architect / Senior Architect to support a leading global financial institution on a multi-year transformation journey. The role will be part of a eClerx global team (London, NY) responsible for defining target-state architecture, guiding legacy modernization, enabling platform re-engineering, and supporting AI-enabled software delivery across critical enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with strong experience in enterprise architecture, legacy transformation, cloud-native design, system integration, and AI-enabled engineering practices. This role is ideal for someone who can translate complex business and technology needs into scalable, secure, and modern architecture solutions while enabling efficient delivery across global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and govern the target-state architecture for modernization and transformation initiatives.
- Assess legacy applications, platforms, integrations, and dependencies to identify re-architecture and migration challenges.
- Design scalable, secure, modular, API-driven architectures for enterprise risk applications.
- Provide architecture leadership for legacy transformation, application decomposition, microservices adoption, and cloud migration.
- Collaborate with business, engineering, QA, DevOps, and product teams to align architecture decisions with delivery goals.
- Leverage AI-enabled development tools to improve architecture analysis, code understanding, modernization planning, and engineering productivity.
- Define integration patterns across APIs, event-driven systems, data platforms, and enterprise services.
- Ensure architecture solutions align with security, resilience, performance, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Support engineering teams through architecture reviews, design guidance, and implementation oversight.
- Document architectural decisions, roadmaps, standards, and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Eligibility Requirements
- Experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture roles.
- Strong experience in legacy modernization, platform transformation, and architecture design for enterprise applications.
- Proven experience across the full SDLC, including architecture planning, design governance, implementation support, and release readiness.
- Hands-on experience with AI-enabled engineering tools to support analysis, modernization, design acceleration, and development productivity.
- Strong understanding of architecture patterns, including microservices, domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and API-led integration.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, including cloud-native and hybrid architecture approaches.
- Good understanding of data architecture, integration patterns, security, scalability, resilience, and performance engineering.
- Experience working with Java, Python, Golang, or similar enterprise technology stacks is preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and engineering best practices in modern delivery environments.
- Financial services experience is preferred; exposure to AI/LLM-enabled platforms and modernization at scale is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
