Team Leader - Afternoon Shift

Salary: £17.50 per hour plus access to Veolia benefits and company pension

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 1.30pm to 10pm plus 2 weekends per month

Location: Westminster

What you'll be doing;

  • Assist the Manager to ensure that the daily checking of vehicles, barrows and other equipment checks are completed at the commencement of each shift and that the appropriate forms are correctly completed

  • Ensure all staff are given the appropriate worksheet, round/beat sheet and map relating to their specific daily tasks with any amendments or variations and that they fully understand these tasks

  • Ensure all staff have the correct level of tools and equipment in a serviceable condition to carry out their duties.

  • Ensure that any accident involving any employee, vehicle or equipment is fully investigated and that all documentation is produced and presented to your Manager

  • Undertake daily contract monitoring surveys and assist with generating associated reports as necessary

  • Assist the Manager in ensuring that all vehicles, items of plant and equipment are cleansed at least weekly or as shown in the cleansing schedule

  • On completion of daily work, ensure that the workforce has been correctly signed off, all routes, maps, worksheets and log sheets are returned and duly completed and signed

  • Provide cover for the Manager as and when necessary

What we're looking for;

  • Previous management experience

  • A strong communicator with the ability to work well under pressure

  • Good time management and organisational skills

  • Good IT Knowledge

  • HGV Class 2 licence (Desirable)

  • Previous waste management experience (Desirable)
