Are you a hands-on leader who loves shipping secure, high-quality software while growing great security engineers? We're looking for a Team Engineering Lead to lead the Security Mastery team within our QSP capability (Quality, Security, Privacy) - the security conscience of Dynatrace's engineering organization. You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Architecture, and capability leads to define the security roadmap, deliver on commitments, and build a culture where security excellence and software engineering excellence are the same thing.
What you will do
- Lead a team of ~15 security engineers and own delivery - you are accountable for timelines, quality, and the security services your team provides to all Dynatrace R&D capabilities.
- Drive execution by setting clear goals, managing dependencies, removing blockers, and ensuring predictable delivery of the Security Mastery roadmap.
- Mentor and grow your engineers, fostering technical excellence in threat modeling, secure SDLC, offensive security, and AI-augmented security tooling.
- Drive career development, promotions, and compensation planning for your team.
- Drive hiring for open roles and team scaling as QSP's security scope grows.
- Align security service delivery with QSP and solution strategy, and champion the Security Advocates Program across R&D.
- 5+ years of experience in software or security engineering, and 3+ years in a technical leadership or - team lead role, engineering manager, or senior security engineer with informal leadership scope
- Hands-on security expertise in one or more of: threat modeling, SAST/DAST, secure SDLC, vulnerability management, or offensive security
- Familiarity with or curiosity about AI-assisted developer and security tooling, and a drive to embed AI-First practices into your team's workflows
- Strong communicator who can represent security priorities credibly to engineering leadership and collaborate across all R&D capabilities

- Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to list a salary range for this position, which is €74,000 up to €92,000 gross per year based on full-time employment (38.5 h/week).
