This is an exciting opportunity to join the FCA’s Wholesale Buy-Side Directorate, supporting managers and teams across both the supervision and policy departments, which are responsible for regulating the UK’s Asset Management sector.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a flexible, professional and highly organised administrator. This is not an exhaustive list but, key duties include:

  • Diary management for managers and wider teams in a hybrid environment, including room bookings, rescheduling and prioritisation and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to arrange meetings

  • Flexibly working with others to resolve conflicting priorities and deadlines in a busy office environment

  • Co-ordinating with the wider administration team, providing cover as required for colleagues including Head of Department PA’s

  • Assisting with recruitment activities

  • Induction of new joiners and helping to keep induction materials up to date

  • Prepare documents and provide help and advice to colleagues

  • Records management and filing – including SharePoint

  • Completing occasional ad-hoc projects

Minimum

  • Experience of using Microsoft Outlook and other key MS Office software, particularly One Note, Word, Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced level

  • Previous experience of working in an administrative position

Essential

  • A confident verbal communicator with strong written communication skills

  • Highly organised, with the ability to co-ordinate, multi-task and ensure attention to detail

  • Demonstrable ability to prioritise and manage multiple issues

  • A self-starting approach - the ability to work proactively using own initiative with minimal supervision

  • The ability to work flexibly with others to complete tasks and meet tight deadlines

  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and be a point of contact to assist team members, e.g., SharePoint, Workday
