We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Manager to join Rapyd's Global Tax team, based in Amsterdam or London. This is a specialist role with a clear mandate: own and scale Rapyd's EU and international regulatory reporting obligations end-to-end. You will be the in-house expert for CESOP, FATCA, CRS, DAC6, DAC7, and more tax matters, working directly with the VP Global Tax and partnering with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Technology teams across the group.

This role is ideal for a tax professional with financial institutions or PSP experience who wants to build something - not inherit a finished process - and who is energised by the growing complexity of the EU regulatory tax reporting landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • All EU jurisdictions where Rapyd operates - data extraction, reconciliation, submission coordination with local advisors, quality control, and management of regulatory correspondence and authority queries.
  • Manage FATCA and CRS obligations for Rapyd's entities globally - entity classification reviews, due diligence procedures, reportable account identification, annual reporting submissions, and IRS/local competent authority compliance.
  • Lead DAC6 (mandatory disclosure rules) and DAC7 (digital platform reporting) compliance across EU entities, including hallmark assessments, intermediary obligations, and coordination with external counsel.
  • Product & Business Advisory: Advise on new product launches, new payment flows, and business model changes from a regulatory reporting perspective.
  • Process & Technology: Build scalable data pipelines and reporting infrastructure in partnership with Product, Data, Legal, Finance and other stakeholders, reducing manual effort and improving data quality for all regulatory submissions.
  • Legislative Monitoring: Monitor EU legislative developments, assess business impact proactively, and recommend appropriate actions to senior management.
  • Audit & Authority Relations: Support tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities across EU jurisdictions; manage relationships with external advisors on regulatory reporting matters.
  • Broader Tax Support: Contribute to the broader Global Tax function, including transfer pricing documentation, corporate income tax compliance, and VAT, as capacity allows.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of relevant tax experience, including professional experience in a Big 4 or international tax advisory firm and/or in-house tax role.
  • Strong knowledge of EU tax regulations, international taxation and transfer pricing.
  • Experience in OECD framework and cross border tax structuring.
  • Experience with tax compliance, and tax risk management in a multinational environment.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with external advisors and internal cross-functional partners.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work with large, complex datasets; comfort with data tools
  • Direct hands-on experience with at least one of CESOP, FATCA, or CRS compliance - end-to-end, not just advisory - is preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
