Your Role

Gensler’s Tax Team is currently seeking a Junior Tax Accountant with a successful track record to join our growing team in London. The ideal candidate for this role will be highly motivated to demonstrate their accounting knowledge and to develop a strong tax knowledge both in UK and the rest of the EMEA region, to add value to a fast-paced, rapidly changing, EMEA regions. In this position, you will collaborate and work closely with the EMEA Tax Manager to accomplish the following responsibilities:

What You Will Do

You will support the EMEA Tax Manager with the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly VAT compliance workpapers for several countries including UK, Germany, France, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Spain, Greece and Luxemburg.

  • Prepare monthly WHT working paper for Saudi Arabia and France

  • Arrange for tax payments and process tax vendor invoices

  • Monthly reconciliation of all EMEA tax balance sheet accounts

  • Monthly booking of journal entries to clear tax accounts on a project basis

  • Support with the preparation of tax provisions

  • Support with requesting tax residency certificates and other ad hoc tax documentations.

  • Support with the UK R&D process.

  • Support EMEA tax audit requests and ad hoc tax projects

 Your Qualifications

  • Must have 1 to 3 years of experience in General Ledger, Accounting and general financial reporting. Experience in Tax Compliance is preferable but not a must as training will be provided.

  • BA in Accounting or Finance and working toward a professional qualification.

  • Fluency in English

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, with a high level of accuracy

  • Proactive and able to work in a highly collaborative environment

  • Able to work well under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Proficient with excel

  • Able to respond to external and internal clients in a timely and professional manner

  • Experience in Architecture or other service firm a plus
