We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our team, focusing on product development, optimization, and innovation within the Europe region, particularly for chocolate category. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic R&D environment, working closely with various cross-functional teams and leveraging cutting-edge pilot plant technologies.
What you need to know about this position:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in bringing new products to life and optimizing existing ones. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting the team in product development, optimization, and relocation projects across wider Europe, with a specific focus on new chocolate tablets for the MEU region.
  • Taking an active role in new product development from consumer-oriented design principles.
  • Designing and preparing prototypes at our pilot plant, and learning to manage specific pilot chocolate production plant technologies.
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining product recipes and specifications.
  • Learning and applying processes for developing and approving all necessary technical documentation, including HACCP documents, specifications, passing reports, FPA (first production approval), and shelf-life tests.
  • Assisting in data analysis, reporting findings, and performing basic product checks using analytical equipment for data collection and management.
  • Creating digitalization, monitoring, and management tools to optimize project management processes.
  • Collaborating closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including Marketing, Operations, Consumer Science, Consumer Research, Product Change Management, Procurement, Quality, External Production, and Suppliers.
  • Learning to plan, conduct, and implement projects, while developing functional expertise within the R&D domain.

Experience & Skills:
  • Work experience or internship in the food and confectionery industry is a significant advantage, particularly experience in product development.
  • General knowledge of food production technologies and ingredients.
  • Fluency in English (minimum B2 level) is required; knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Technical curiosity and the ability to quickly learn to operate pilot plant equipment.
  • Enthusiasm, independence, openness, and a strong willingness to learn on the job.
  • A positive attitude, out-of-the-box thinking, creativity, and a willingness to accept challenges.
  • Ability to work independently, even under conditions of limited time, resources, and data for daily tasks.
  • A strong drive for results.

Education / Certifications:
  • Last-year students, recent graduates, or Master's degree holders in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field with demonstrated knowledge of food technology.

  • Work Schedule: Full-time.
