About the Role

Join a central team that keeps Genius running smoothly - empowering product, tech, sales, and ops to focus on what they do best: driving the business forward.

We’re looking for a driven and strategic Talent Sourcer to help build exceptional Commercial / GTM, Product and Technology teams in our New York City office. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Recruiters to identify, engage, and nurture top-tier talent across revenue-generating and technical functions, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Data.

As a key member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will be responsible for developing creative sourcing strategies, mapping talent markets, and building strong pipelines of diverse, high-quality candidates. You’ll play a critical role in shaping how we attract talent in the competitive NYC market, acting as both a brand ambassador and a strategic advisor to the TA function.

This is an opportunity for someone who thrives on research, outreach, and relationship-building,  and who is energized by connecting exceptional people with meaningful opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with TA Partners to deeply understand hiring needs across Commercial (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships) and Technology (Engineering, Product, Data, IT) functions.
  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to identify and engage high-caliber talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, AI, and other creative channels.
  • Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines for critical and frequently hired roles, particularly in the competitive NYC market.
  • Conduct market mapping and talent research to provide insights on competitor landscapes, compensation trends, and talent availability.
  • Engage and assess passive candidates, conducting initial outreach and qualification conversations to evaluate alignment, motivation, and skill fit before handoff to Recruiters.
  • Craft compelling outreach messaging that reflects our employer brand and resonates with both commercial and technical audiences.
  • Track and report on sourcing metrics, including response rates, pipeline health, time-to-slate, and diversity representation.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience, maintaining clear, timely communication throughout the sourcing and early screening stages.
  • Continuously refine sourcing techniques, staying current on industry trends, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven success sourcing technical talent across software engineering (frontend, backend, full-stack), data engineering/science, product management, and other specialized technical functions;
  • Strong understanding of technical skill sets, frameworks, and tooling (e.g., modern programming languages, cloud platforms, data stacks) and the ability to assess technical alignment in initial conversations;
  • Experience conducting technical market mapping, including competitor analysis and talent landscape research in New York;
  • Ability to engage and qualify passive technical candidates, effectively evaluating skills, motivations, and culture add;
  • Experience leveraging AI sourcing tools and talent intelligence platforms.
It will be a bonus if you have:
  • Experience supporting Commercial hiring (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships), with the ability to adapt sourcing strategies across revenue-generating functions will be advantageous.
  • Experience conducting technical market mapping, including competitor analysis and talent landscape research in London

Initial term of six (6) months. The hourly range for this role is $45 - $50. We enjoy an ‘office-first’ culture and maximize opportunities to collaborate, connect and learn together. This role is based in our NYC office.
