Job Description
We are looking for a strategic and innovative talent development lead to guide our talent initiatives across EMEA and shape the future of Wise. In this role, you will create and implement a comprehensive talent strategy that ensures the right skills are available at the right time across our hubs in London, Budapest, and Tallinn.
You will foster a culture of continuous learning, working closely with senior leaders and global teams to provide high-impact development opportunities that enhance capabilities, boost performance, and support career progression.
You will oversee leadership development, new-hire onboarding, and other key programmes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, measuring the impact of training, managing budgets, and collaborating with external providers to deliver effective and engaging learning solutions.
Your mission:

Develop and implement talent development strategies that align with overall company objectives and regional business needs.

Design and adapt training programmes to address skill gaps and reflect local market demands.

Collaborate with senior leadership and the people team to define key learning objectives and deliver integrated talent initiatives.

Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programmes, including leadership development, compliance training, technical skills, and onboarding.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of facilitators and learning partners, establishing them as trusted advisors throughout the employee development cycle.

Create and execute a strategic plan aligned with our three core pillars: building skills for the future, evolving our ways of working, and delivering an irresistible employee experience.

Champion a culture of inclusive, continuous learning and professional development across the region.

Work closely with our talent management and talent acquisition teams to deliver a holistic approach to talent at wise.

Manage external training provider relationships, including contract negotiation and assessing the effectiveness of external solutions.
About you:

Proven experience in learning and development, talent development, or training within a service-oriented organisation.

Demonstrated success as a people leader, including the ability to inspire and guide regionally dispersed teams.

Strong proficiency in project management and design thinking.

Consultative approach to problem-solving, applying data-driven insights to create tailored solutions.

Confidence in interpreting data and producing data-led, visually compelling presentations.

Organised, detail-focused, and able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.

Adept at stakeholder management, communicating effectively with diverse teams to encourage collaboration.

Experience in virtual and international environments, including hybrid teams.

Excellent command of English; additional language skills are an advantage.
