We tackle the most complex problems in quantitative finance, by bringing scientific clarity to financial complexity.

From our London HQ, we unite world-class researchers and engineers in an environment that values deep exploration and methodical execution - because the best ideas take time to evolve.  Together we’re building a world-class platform to amplify our teams’ most powerful ideas.

Every breakthrough is built on strong foundations. In our People team, you’ll work across disciplines to drive the strategy, culture and structure that enable our success.

The role

We are seeking a Talent Attraction Specialist to connect exceptional technologists and early career talent with G-Research.

This role will focus on generating interest and attendance for our suite of world-class attraction initiatives alongside community building, engaging experienced hire prospects and harnessing the power of our people’s networks and existing community activity.

You will act as a bridge between the firm and the wider technical community, identifying and engaging high-potential candidates through events, conferences, meet-ups and long-term relationship-building.

This is not a transactional recruiting role — it’s about developing internal and external relationships, curating attractive experiences and keeping G-Research top of mind for experienced tech talent.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Leading talent mapping and sourcing for our global attraction programmes, identifying and engaging top candidates through on-campus, in-house and online initiatives
  • Managing key aspects of the campus ecosystem, including careers fairs, student societies and the Spring into Quant Finance programme
  • Building and sustaining long-term relationships with prospective candidates and event attendees, ensuring regular and meaningful engagement until application
  • Representing G-Research at external events such as meetups, careers fairs, conferences and networking sessions
  • Partnering with Marketing to design and deliver engaging attraction experiences that showcase our culture and shaping our external presence through sponsorships, partnerships and speaking opportunities
  • Acting as a community builder by cultivating strong, ongoing relationships with talent and external partners through thoughtful, consistent engagement
  • Collaborating with engineers, researchers and internal advocates to leverage networks, explore innovative attraction ideas and connect with target audiences at conferences and events
  • Partnering with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to define target profiles, align attraction strategies with hiring priorities and ensuring coordination between internal teams and external communities
Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • A background in talent sourcing, campus recruiting, technical recruiting, developer relations or community engagement
  • Track record of working closely with techies and building trust-based relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a natural networker who thrives in face-to-face settings
  • A sales mind-set with a hunger to convert prospects to candidates
  • Highly organised with demonstrable pipeline management skills

Nice-to-have experience:

  • A technical background, either academically, professionally or self-taught
  • Experience organising or supporting community events, technical meetups or industry conferences
  • Familiarity with Software Engineering, Data Science or Quant Finance communities
Why join us?
  • Highly competitive compensation plus annual discretionary bonus
  • Lunch provided (via Just Eat for Business - £20 daily) and dedicated barista bar
  • 30 days’ annual leave
  • 9% company pension contributions
  • Informal dress code and excellent work/life balance
  • Comprehensive healthcare and life assurance
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • Monthly company events

G-Research is committed to cultivating and preserving an inclusive work environment. We are an ideas-driven business and we place great value on diversity of experience and opinions.

We want to ensure that applicants receive a recruitment experience that enables them to perform at their best. If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation please let us know in the relevant section
