SUMMARY 

The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the delivery of recruitment activity across OAG, ensuring high-quality hiring outcomes and an excellent candidate experience. This role is primarily hands-on, working closely with Hiring Managers and Talent Acquisition colleagues to deliver effective recruitment solutions across commercial, technical, and operational functions. 

Operating in a fast-paced, commercially led and tech-driven environment, the Specialist will play a key role in direct sourcing efforts, talent pooling, process optimisation and candidate experience. They will also contribute to strategic hiring initiatives, including DEI, early careers, talent pipelining, and employer branding. 

The role is expected to be approximately a 70% operational / 30% strategic split. The successful individual will collaborate with colleagues globally and attend the Luton Head Office 2 days per week (other travel will be required).  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Operational 

  • Deliver the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, ensuring timely, high-quality hiring across a variety of roles. 
  • Partner closely with Hiring Managers to understand requirements, shape hiring strategies, and ensure consistent, inclusive selection processes. 
  • Proactively source and engage talent through direct sourcing, talent pools, and partnerships. 
  • Support the optimisation of the ATS and recruitment tools, ensuring data accuracy and efficient workflows. 
  • Coordinate with external vendors and recruitment partners when required. 
  • Champion employer brand activity through content, campaigns, and candidate engagement. 
  • Provide recruitment training, coaching, and guidance to hiring teams to uplift capability. 
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience across all touchpoints. 
  • Work collaboratively with other Talent Acquisition Partners, sharing insights, best practices, and sourcing expertise. 

 

STRATEGIC

  • Support the Director of Talent and L&D and the wider business with workforce planning, talent mapping, and forecasting future hiring needs. 
  • Use recruitment data and analytics to highlight trends, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements. 
  • Contribute to strategic hiring initiatives, including DEI, early careers, talent pipelining, and employer brand development. 
  • Build and nurture relationships with universities, industry groups, and external partners to attract future talent. 
  • Represent the TA function in cross-functional People & Culture initiatives as required. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES 

  • Strong understanding of recruitment across commercial, engineering, data, product, and IT domains. 
  • Experience researching or implementing AI-driven recruitment automation is highly desirable. 
  • Skilled in direct sourcing and proficient with sourcing tools and platforms. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills. 
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Collaborative team player, supporting colleagues and contributing to shared goals. 
  • Passionate about delivering excellent candidate experiences and promoting diversity and inclusion. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Certification in Talent Acquisition (e.g., LinkedIn Certified Recruiter) is beneficial but not required. 
  • Proven experience delivering recruitment operations across commercial and technical functions. 
  • Experience working across multiple geographies or supporting global teams. 
  • Strong understanding of recruitment metrics, reporting, and process optimisation.
