Our purpose is to positively impact people’s lives every day in every home around the world! We work very hard to provide our consumers with high-quality, exciting 5-star products that make life easier. We thrive on passion and innovation and are looking for great people, with great ideas, who want to build the next big thing and develop while they do.
About The Role
At Shark Ninja, we are committed to helping people achieve more than they ever thought possible—to live and practice what we call an Outrageously Extraordinary (OE) mindset.
The team (tX) is a strategic partner to the business and exists to help leaders and teams deliver outrageously extraordinary (OE) results through a mix of: (i) end-to-end talent practices (e.g. onboarding, leader development); (ii) leader-led solutions, that are integrated into employees’ day-to-day work (e.g. toolkits or resources deployed at team-level); and (iii) longer term high impact initiatives (e.g. that look at how we drive impact to business ways of working).
The Talent Management Lead role will oversee and develop several tX products/initiatives across the EMEA region, working very closely with the Senior Director, EMEA (who this role will report into) as well as key stakeholders (such as business leaders). The “product categories” this role will focus on building out, include, Leadership and Team effectiveness. First-hand experience with immersive approaches (such as experience design or aspen seminars) and/or Organizational Development experience will be useful in this role. You will also need to be able to support other initiatives within the tX space as necessary (e.g. how we support high potential talent, for example). This is a hybrid-based role, three days a week, in our iconic Battersea, London office.
Some of the exciting things you’ll get to do
Consulting & Design Thinking
- Surface opportunities and identify actions that can drive impact to our ways of working across the business, within and outside of tX practices and programs
- Work across functional teams, including teams responsible for our iconic products, to deeply understand challenges, pain points and convert these into “user stories” or “case studies” that can inform design.
Product Leadership
- Be the point of contact for tX “product areas” (such as those listed above), who understands the features and elements of the product or initiative (i.e. what it’s solving for, how employees can use or apply it).
- In close collaboration with key partners and stakeholders, lead on the design and development of useful, engaging solutions/resources/experiences, across leadership and team effectiveness to help impact our fast-growing EMEA region.
Partnership & Engagement
- Take a prototyping and user-testing approach to the work, getting inspiration from from our own customer-facing product development teams, on how to continue to infuse a product mindset through our tX work.
- Be able to lead delivery (facilitation, running workshops, offsites etc.) as needed, in partnership with senior leaders and HR Business Partners.
Here are some of the things you’ll bring
Ideally, 10+ years of relevant experience and 3+ years of leading programs or initiatives
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and navigates ambiguity well: For instance, you might have successfully led a project with tight deadlines and shifting requirements, ensuring timely delivery while adapting to new information and changes.
The ability to self-manage, take initiative, and work independently: For example, you may have led projects where you’ve taken a brief and built an end-to-end process, or identified a gap in an approach and helped plug this gap whilst collaborating closely with stakeholders throughout.
You’ll balance a strong bias for action, with the need to develop high quality solutions: For example, you might have quickly developed a prototype to address an urgent audience need, while simultaneously planning for a more robust, long-term solution to ensure high quality and sustainability.
When you build talent products/initiatives, you’ll be someone who focusses on ensuring you have a genuine grasp of what you’re solving for. For example, you may be familiar with any of the following ideas and processes: First Principles Thinking, Systems Thinking, or 5Di
You’re humble and curious to learn. For example, you’ll be someone who actively seeks out feedback without being asked and knows how to frame questions to get context (perhaps you have some experience in coaching or consulting, just as an example).
