The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IVVQ Manager to join us on a permanent basis, working on the delivery of a next-generation Electronic Warfare (EW) solution.

As a key member of the engineering team, you will lead the Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ) activities across the programme, ensuring solutions are delivered to the highest standards of quality, performance and customer satisfaction.

This role is ideal for a Systems Engineering professional with proven experience leading IVVQ teams and managing requirements within complex, technology-driven environments.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading IVVQ activities across the programme lifecycle.
  • Developing and implementing IVVQ strategies and best practices.
  • Ensuring IVVQ activities align with project plans, budgets, schedules and quality objectives.
  • Driving the introduction and adoption of new IVVQ tools, processes and ways of working.
  • Demonstrating that delivered solutions meet customer operational requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Supporting and conducting integration, verification, validation and qualification activities.
  • Producing and maintaining systems engineering and IVVQ documentation.
  • Managing, tracking and reporting defects effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

You'll be a collaborative and proactive Systems Engineering professional with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions in complex technical environments.

Essential Skills

  • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles, processes and lifecycle methodologies.
  • Ability to integrate, verify and validate complex technologies in a structured and methodical way.
  • Experience building effective relationships and working collaboratively across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a range of audiences.
  • A positive, solutions-focused mindset and strong team-working approach.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree qualified (BEng, BSc or equivalent) in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience leading testing and IVVQ activities within complex engineering programmes.
  • Strong requirements management experience using IBM DOORS, POLARION
  • Experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle, from design and development through to validation and qualification.
  • Familiarity with Agile and iterative development methodologies.
  • Detailed knowledge of system design, requirements capture, integration, acceptance testing and design evolution.
  • Understanding of architecture frameworks such as MODAF, DoDAF or TOGAF.
  • Experience of Product Line Engineering.

Desirable Experience

  • Electronic Warfare, Radar or Telecommunications domain experience.
  • Experience working within Defence or other highly regulated engineering environments.
  • Proficiency with tools such as PLM-PALMA and JIRA
