Job Description

Up to 50% travel is required for upgrade projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer presentations

  • System staging

  • Complete system documentation

  • Live system upgrades

  • Ensuring the integrity of the architecture/design

  • Individual will be responsible for carrying out field engineering duties during a radio system upgrade cycle. He/she will be responsible for upgrading/deploying various devices which include network gear, Windows-based devices, virtual machines and Motorola proprietary devices. Along with above duties, individual will be a customer facing technical resource through the upgrade effort. He/She will be primarily traveling to western states’ customer locations to carry out their duties.

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

  • Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE highly desirable

  • Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) highly desirable

  • Certifications through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar, highly desirable

  • Previous knowledge and experience working with some or all of Juniper, Aviat, Cisco, Nokia/Alcatel, Xtreme, Ceragon, highly desirable

  • Experience directly working with end-user customers is essential

  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences is essential

Target Base Salary Range: $56,900 - $105,300 USD


Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.


Basic Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, IT or Networking and 3+ years of Engineering or Wireless Communications experience required

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain background clearance as required by our government customers.
