Wirex is opening a new position for a System Product Owner to join one of the backend teams.

Type of Cooperation: B2B Contract. 
Location: Fully remote (EU preferred, no sanctioned countries). 


Role Purpose 
The System Product Owner owns the functional scope of a backend service in Wirex's card and payments platform, turning business needs and 3rd party/payment schemes integration requirements into clear specifications. With a focus on card processing, the role ensures that transaction flows, processor and scheme integrations (VISA, Mastercard) are designed correctly across markets and implemented as intended.  


Responsibilities 

  • Gather and analyze new requirements and changes concerning team service ownership. 
  • Compose detailed and understandable system requirements in the form of specifications. 
  • Proactively communicate team inputs and plans to other TPO/SPO on the one hand and upcoming changes across surrounding microservices and client apps to the team on the other. 
  • Analyze 3rd parties API (banks, card processing, payment integrators) documentation that works on different markets (Asia, USA, EU, etc.) and create integration requirements for back-end developers. 
  • Configure system setting, investigate issues, develop logic flows, and make sure everything is implemented correctly. 
  • Participate in product vision creation, functionality, and ideas discussion. 

 

Requirements 

  • 2+ years experience as a System Analyst or Business analyst with technical background. 
  • Deep experience in banking/payment cards, understanding in
    details of how payment cards work, knowledge of payment system protocols.
     
  • Knowledge of VISA, Master Card  requirements, technology, processes, and standards. 
  • Knowledge of card processing protocols (ISO), reporting and reconciliation procedures, flows of integration processing services with 3rd party systems. 
  • Experience managing card processing services integration/development, transaction processing services integration/development in financial domain — will be a plus. 
  • Experience working with API documentation and preparing integration logic. 
  • Upper intermediate English
