The Sustainable Finance Division develops and delivers the FCA’s sustainable finance strategy. We are seeking an individual to come in to the Sustainable Finance Intelligence Team, which monitors trends, conducts research, analysis and leads interventions in priority areas.

The team engages with external stakeholders and manages key committees, while working to enhance data-driven analysis and strategy across the division.

What will you be doing?

  • This role focuses on data analysis and communication, supporting the Sustainable Finance Division in integrating sustainable finance considerations into the FCA’s policy and supervisory work
  • You will develop proficiency in data services such as Refinitiv, Bloomberg and Morningstar while enhancing your ability to communicate data insights
  • The role involves improving data usage, supporting colleagues in upskilling and contributing to wider intelligence gathering and analysis

What will you get from the role?

  • Build subject-matter expertise on a range of sustainable finance issues, in a dynamic part of the FCA and a globally topical subject
  • Develop transferrable data analysis skills and help influence the way the Division uses data
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the FCA and externally

Minimum

  • Experience in data analytics, distilling complex issues into clear, concise messages and communicating data insights effectively
  • Experience in developing and managing stakeholder relationships both internally and externally

Essential

  • Ability to collaborate on cross-organisational projects
  • Working effectively and inclusively as part of a team
  • An interest in sustainable finance, with a proactive approach to learning about trends and issues
  • Strong self-management skills to plan and progress work while adapting to shifting priorities
  • Appetite to develop a knowledge of market trends, financial tools and investment strategies to inform decision-making
