Job Description:

The position will provide support to the Global Head of Ethics & Sustainability in fulfilment of legal requirements and stakeholders expectations on Human Rights mainly through improvement, formalization and implementation of Gunvor’s Human Rights management, due diligence and reporting system.
Main Responsibilities

  • Identify and update Human Right related reporting requirements, prepare internal and external reports on Human Rights plans and performance as legally required or internally defined

  • Lead the definition of a reporting framework for Human Rights issues and its implementation. Be responsible for its maintenance and improvement

  • Take part in the development of the Human Rights strategy and be responsible to develop related internal procedures and take part in their implementation

  • Drive the implementation of the plan for integration of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights

  • Take part in the development of the Human Rights due diligence strategy, drive its implementation and lead Human Rights due diligence

  • Take part in the development of the risk assessment framework and be responsible to formalize Human Rights impact assessments, involving relevant departments and internal stakeholders

  • Support in the development of training on Corporate Social responsibility

  • Take part in assessment of projects and assets on Human Rights and Corporate Responsibility issues

  • Participate in the update of intranet and internal communication tool on Human Rights topics

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree, Masters degree in relevant domain (environmental, sustainability...) or other qualifications

  • 4 to 5 year experience in Oil & Gas, Energy or Mining

  • Experience in due diligence

  • Good knowledge of Human Rights international framework of businesses

  • Good communications skills

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Ability to work on several projects at the same time

  • English, French is a plus
