The Sustainability Communications and Marketing leader is responsible for planning and executing external and internal communications to meet the business objectives of Cytiva’s Sustainability Leadership.  

This position reports to the Sustainability Program Director and is part of the Global Sustainability team. This is an onsite role based out of the United Kingdom or Sweden with stakeholders in UK, France, Sweden, Singapore, Switzerland, and USA. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Shape the sustainability narrative: Collaborate with Cytiva’s Sustainability team to develop and refine Cytiva’s sustainability story, positioning the company effectively against key competitors. Leverage this narrative across new product introduction (NPI) requirements, internal presentations for the Commercial team, and external pitches to trade media.

  • Drive integrated communications: Partner with Sustainability and Communications leadership, as well as Marketing and Brand teams, to deliver cohesive and connected marketing and communications plans. Use a mix of digital platforms and physical channels to amplify sustainability storytelling.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration: Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across functions and global regions to support alignment and execution of sustainability initiatives.

  • Empower teams as Sustainability ambassadors: Equip commercial, sourcing, and other key teams with compelling external-facing materials and training, enabling them to effectively represent Cytiva’s sustainability priorities, progress, and goals.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or a related field, along with minimum of three years of experience in communications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communications skills in English, with a strong ability of storytelling through both pictures and words

  • A collaborative and adaptable approach — you're organized, results-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while building trusted relationships across teams.

  • Genuine interest and understanding of current affairs, politics and broader social trends with the ability to understand how these influence business decisions

  • A strong sense of integrity and accountability — you lead with high ethical, moral, and personal values, communicate with care, and treat others with respect.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • The topic of sustainability and integrating the area into business strategy
